What to prepare for a moving estimate.

A useful moving estimate starts with the belongings and the route, not just the number of bedrooms. Use this checklist to prepare a clear request for a Denver metro household, apartment or office move.

Start the checklist

One current plan makes the quote conversation clearer.

Gather the details below, then contact Rhino Brothers or use the quote form to start the conversation. Ask the team what inventory details or access information it needs to review your move. Discuss the proposed services and charges, confirm what is agreed and report changes before moving day. Photos or a walkthrough should only be arranged through the process the team confirms for your request.

No account needed. Checkmarks and worksheet notes are not sent or saved. Print your notes before leaving this page.

1. Record both addresses and the actual access.

Write these details in your own notes. These checkboxes are a preparation aid; they do not send or save an estimate request.

Write each full address, unit, floor and ZIP code. Label pickup and delivery explicitly. Add any extra stop and identify who can open each property.

Describe the proposed loading location, carrying distance, entrances, stairs, landings and elevator. Ask the property contact about access restrictions or reservations.

Separate proposed dates from confirmed access. Note lease deadlines, key release and building windows, plus the name of the person available at each address.

2. Walk every space and record the belongings.

Use one row per room or storage area in your own notes: room | furniture | boxes | loose contents | preparation needed | move or stay. For an office, use destination departments or rooms.

List large pieces and approximate boxes rather than relying on bedroom count. Include closets, garage, basement and outdoor belongings that are part of the move.

Identify fragile pieces, dimensions and specific handling concerns. Ask for review of large furniture and unusual equipment before assuming it can be moved.

Mark what stays, is being sold or moves separately. Flag undecided items and update the team when the final inventory changes.

Add a few notes below or print the blank worksheet. On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways. Use your own saved list if you need more space.

3. Agree on responsibilities and read the plan back.

Before booking, review the estimate and any terms the team supplies. Ask questions about unclear work, materials, timing or charges.

Identify the rooms you will pack, what you want Rhino to prepare and what is already boxed. Confirm materials, furniture preparation and transport separately in the requested scope.

Ask what the estimate covers, what access or inventory assumptions it uses and how changes are handled. Confirm any minimums, additional charges and booking terms directly with Rhino.

Read back pickup, destination, units, dates, onsite contacts and agreed tasks. Report errors or changes before the moving date and ask for the updated arrangements to be confirmed.

Access, furniture preparation and the truck load all belong in the moving plan. These photos show details to discuss when you share your inventory and the route through each home.

Confirm the addresses before the move.

Dan praised the crew, but also described a pre-move courtesy call that caught reversed pickup and destination details and an incorrect pickup address. He says those details were corrected during the call. The account is a reason to read the plan back, rather than assume every detail is already right.

Questions before you book.

Can I start an estimate before everything is packed?

Yes. Describe what you expect to move and the packing still needed. Identify uncertain inventory and update Rhino as the plan becomes firm.

Should I send photos or request a walkthrough?

Ask Rhino which information is needed for your request and how to provide it. Do not assume a particular photo-estimate or walkthrough process, or send sensitive documents unnecessarily.

What affects the moving estimate?

Inventory, packing and preparation, travel, stairs or elevators, carrying distance, building access and the requested schedule can affect the work. Ask the team to explain the estimate for your specific move.

Does checking this worksheet request a quote?

No. The checklist and inventory notes are only browser-based preparation aids. Entries are not sent or saved; print your notes before leaving the page. Call Rhino or use the quote form to submit your inquiry.
